THE MONDAY MORNING AFTER a cold, rainy weekend, I often hear people say, “Crap weather, but at least I could binge on Netflix and not feel guilty.” Of course, I always smile politely, but deep down I’m thinking, “Are you kidding? That was the best weekend of my life!” Maybe it was growing up in Queensland with blazing sunshine 90 per cent of the year, or perhaps my latent teen goth sensibility, but blue skies and warm weather just aren’t my jam. Hibernating is my idea of heaven.
To me, there’s nothing quite as exotic as bracingly cold air, dark clouds and if you really want to get my heart rate up, snow. Needless to say putting this issue together – celebrating the joys of cosiness, cold weather and staying…
