I do not give in easily to negativity. I usually try to see a brighter side.
But I am also a realist. The COVID-19 crisis is unique, the enormity of it beyond anything we have ever experienced. The doors have been blown off, overwhelming everyone with fear and anxiety.
The grim statistics scroll unendingly — infection and mortality rates, unemployment and economic impact across the country and around the globe. It is sad. It is frightening. It is commonly shared. Every inch of life has been affected. In many ways, we will never be the same again.
What makes it worse is that we have no idea when and how it ends.
But it will end. We will weather this storm. Our communities will survive. It will, however, also likely…
