THE Motsepe Foundation this week hosted at least 800 young delegates and more than 20 JSE-listed companies and organisations for the launch of the Information and Opportunities Expo at the Sandton Convention Centre.
The exhibition showcased available job prospects, internships and skills development opportunities for unemployed youth. Alongside the expo partner exhibition booths, delegates, both in-person and online, were inspired by speakers, including Dr Patrice Motsepe and Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe, Phuthi Mahanyele-Dabengwa, Shirley Machaba and Clement Maosa.
Collectively, more than 700 labour market opportunities were offered to delegates. These included placements by Naspers Labs for 160 youth, 160 graduate opportunities in ARM and another 60 in Harmony over the next three years, internships in Rain, Tyme Bank, Think Tank and Sundowns FC, as well as learnerships in Sanlam, RCL…
