And now, 50 years after the LP112 prototype broke cover, Lamborghini has created an all-new Countach for the modern era. The Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4, to give you its full name, is a limited edition model, with the Italian supercar maker planning to build just 112 units. The car comes with a price tag of $2.6 million, which equated to around R38.4 million at the time of writing. Nissan has pulled the covers off the new Nissan Z, the long-awaited successor to the 370Z. In final production form it remains faithful to the Z Proto concept revealed last year. The new Nissan Z (yes, Nissan has dropped the numerical prefix) also returns the Z lineage to turbo power, last seen in the 300ZX of the 1990s. The outreach programme was held under the theme “Women in Health: Celebrating Women’s Month”. Leading the doctors was 41-year-old Dr Itani Dikgale, who specialises in maxillofacial and oral surgery, a predominantly male-dominated field. Dikgale is the only female doctor in the province that specialises in this. That’s exactly what Volkswagen’s US division has aimed for with the new Golf GTI BBS Concept. As the name implies, it was created in conjunction with wheel specialist BBS, and the project was led by well-known Volkswagen enthusiast Jamie Orr. The concept’s design centres around a set of 19-inch BBS Super RS alloy wheels, featuring the BBS “waffle and hex” pattern. They’re fitted with 235/35/19 D7 tyres by Delinte.
