At Waterkloof’s Garden Bleu, garden and furniture centre, owner Rhoda Kruger said she was looking forward to spending the day in her green space. Garden Bleu, in Milner Street, includes a shop (previously at Duncan Yard) with interesting garden decor in a range of styles, custom-made water features, as well as ideas for landscaping and outdoor spaces. “I have always seen the garden as a place where people can have ‘me time’,” said Kruger, and encouraged people to use the day to think about creating their own special stress-relieving space. It is also a great time to consider what you want to grow, as gardening is good…
FARM MURDERS Senekal: further clashes can be expected THE scenes that played out in the farming town of Senekal this week could set back implementation of the Rural Safety Strategy plan of the SAPS. Hundreds of people from the surrounding Free State farming communities congregated outside Senekal Magistrate’s Court where two men had their first appearance in connection with the murder of young farm manager, Brendin Horner, whose body was found with stab wounds and tied to a pole. The reference is to the ongoing bitter war from white groupings about whether the government cares about the safety and security of farmers and farm workers, and to the #BlackLivesMatter campaign. Police Minister Bheki…

WORKING FROM HOME, BUT OFFICE POLICIES STILL APPLY THE global pandemic has resulted in a new way of doing things. Working from home, for at least part of the week, has become commonplace, but with workers in the comfort of their own homes, does this give them free reign to consume alcohol and drugs while on the clock?
