Catherine Constantinides, the well-known climate and social justice activist, has shared on social media her experience in the hope that others will take the risk seriously. Finding out she had contracted the virus, despite taking every possible precaution, was emotionally and physically “agonising and challenging”. Decision pending on schools POLITICAL STAFF BASIC Education Minister Angie Motshekga is faced with the unenviable task of finding a solution for the future of the 2020 school year. Motshekga yesterday had back-to-back meetings with teachers’ unions, school principals and governing bodies on whether schools should remain open or close until the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic has passed in South Africa.
