Chicken Carbonara with Peas

3 large eggs¾ cup grated parmesan cheese½ cup heavy cream1 teaspoon black pepper, plus more to taste4 slices thick-cut bacon, diced1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breasts, sliced crosswise into ½-inch-thick strips1 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more for the pasta water2 garlic cloves, minced12 ounces fettuccine or linguine½ cup frozen peasChopped fresh parsley, for garnish
