But much of our work is in Africa, and the strict airline baggage limitations mean we have to pare back our kit to what we can carry on, travelling with two photo backpacks, weighing around 12kg each.
Into these we’ll squeeze three camera bodies (Canon EOS-1D X, 5D Mk III and 5D Mk II), a 500mm lens, two 100-400mm lenses, a 24-105mm and a 17-40mm, a couple of 1.4x Extenders, two flashes, a laptop, iPad, backup external drive, digital audio…
