THE CANON EOS M and EOS R are compact system (CSC) or mirrorless cameras. Without a mirror inside and an electronic viewfinder, camera bodies can be smaller, lighter, faster, quieter, and better for video, compared to DSLRs. But, Canon EOS DSLRs aren’t hindered by size, so are easier to control and handle; they have superior autofocus, so are better for action and wildlife; and better high ISO performance, with an optical viewfinder you see what the camera will shoot (electronic viewfinders can struggle in low light and preview images appear grainy). plus DSLRs currently have a greater range of EF and EF-S lenses, as well as lenses by Sigma, Tamron, etc.…
