It’s a special thing to set out in the darkness before dawn; boots on, head torch on, camera bag on the back, tripod on the shoulder. And to then walk out onto the coast. It’s an experience that lies at the heart of what it means to be a landscape photographer. I will never tire of watching dawn break over a secluded bay or exposed headland, whether it be on the Jurassic or Coromandel Coast. Yes, the light of dusk is equally evocative, but…
