Amsterdam is the capital and most populous city of the Netherlands. Amsterdam is colloquially referred to as the "Venice of the North", for its large number of canals, now designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is notoriously suffering from overtourism. So during peak pandemic in 2020 I decided that it might probably be a good time to visit the city with much less tourists than usual. However, I still thought it was pretty packed and don't want to imagine what it normally looks like. It had been a while since I had practiced any kind of photography, since I had been spending most of my time happily at home with my newborn son.
