A big part of photographing interiors is the details. An overview of an interior shows the space but those little detail photos often tell you more about what the space is like to be in. Detail photos are often used as insets by designers when they lay out brochures and leaflets. As one long time marketing man once said to me. "Always sell the sizzle - not the sausage." Photographing interiors is all about capturing the way the room looks (and feels) as naturally as possible. And I like to use available light whenever I can because the space will look the way it does in reality. If you're photographing an interior for commercial reasons it obviously has to look enticing so people want to go there, but it has to be true to life as well or you'll end up with a bunch of customer complaints. When you're photographing interiors you have to take your time, make sure everything looks great and there are no scruffy corners. In Part 2 we'll process the RAW file for the shot we took in Lightroom. First we'll take a look at the images and choose the one we're going to work on, then I'll show you what I do to the image to get the finished file to give the client. Breath of the Seasons, has been my personal project from early 2017 until early 2020. Living around the Jutland peninsula in Denmark my entire life, what inspired me to make this film was the very difference between winter, spring, summer and autumn in the already diverse Jutlandic landscapes - and the visually beautiful story this has. To show this cycle in nature through timelapse photography has been a mammoth task and a huge completion for me personally. The Sony a7C camera is a compact, full frame 4k mirrorless vlog & stills camera with 24 megapixels, sensor stabilization, and 4k video. It's actually a great, well-rounded travel and street photography camera. It's capable of video and vlogging, with a flip-forward screen, but we had some serious problems with the autofocus and sensor stabilization. We compare it to the Fujifilm X-T4.
