RCBS’s new single-stage Rebel press is all it should be and nothing more. It handles die-related jobs superbly but has no on-board priming apparatus, primer feed tube, primer catch tray, primer pocket brush, neck brush, case mouth chamfer tool, or other such paraphernalia.
As such, it’s a refreshing departure from the modern norm, where it seems that every piece of equipment is conceived to do multiple jobs. The Rebel is a master of high-torque, extreme-precision reloading tasks. It’s not cheap at $270, but after working with it, I think it’s worth every cent.
