Last fall, longtime friend Travis Keith rode an emotional roller coaster as his bowhunting vacation was altered drastically after his daughter, Eastin, broke her leg in a skateboarding accident. With one quick phone call, Travis went from the excitement and anticipation of sitting in a treestand to full-on parent mode, where nothing in the world was more important than caring for his daughter.
As I wrote in the October issue, somehow, some way, Travis still ended up having a bow season to remember, taking decent bucks in both Kansas and our home state of Oklahoma, even though he only hunted a couple days. Talk about everything coming together in quick order!
