Smith & Wesson has reentered the pump shotgun market with a big splash. The new M&P12 is a gun they designed from the ground up for home protection, and at first glance, it looks similar to the Kel-Tec KSG. THE quality of firearms manufacturing over the last five to 10 years has improved by leaps and bounds. Since the perfection and universal adoption of self-contained metallic cartridges by the firearms industry, it has been recognized that standard-sized firearms chambered for sub-caliber cartridges make training and practice easier and more economical. In many cases, this has taken the form of full-sized centerfire handguns and long guns being offered in cartridges like the .22 LR. The .22 is an easy-shooting rimfire, which allows neophytes an economical and non-threatening training tool.
