SUMMERSVILLE LAKE, WV
This 2,700-acre lake is a typical West Virginia flood control reservoir in that it’s a steep-sided impoundment that experiences huge annual fluctuations in level. What isn’t typical is the strong, self-sustaining walleye population it supports. By May, the lake should be up from the 70-foot-plus fall/winter drawdown it experiences.
