Over the holidays, I invited a couple of my team members to tea at the Flagler Museum as a fun way to usher in the new year. After tea—which was fabulous, by the way—we took a tour of Railcar No. 91, Henry Flagler’s private car while traveling on the Over-Sea Railroad. The degree of opulence in this locomotive palace got my wheels turning, and I begged the private affairs director, Lauren Perry, to let us use No. 91 for a photo shoot. As you can see in this issue, our friends at the Flagler generously granted the request, and we went about spinning a story about gentlemen’s Gilded Age–inspired style, starring five “Palm Beach Dandies”: Scott Diament, Michael Gregson Reinert, Aaron Menitoff, Jason Arbuckle, and our cover model, Simon Isaacs.…

PALETTE CLEANSER “Designers on the runway this season—whether it was New York, Milan, or Paris—really gravitated to this idea of neutrality: everything from white to camo, beige, khaki,” says Patel. Spring’s move toward new neutrals is popping up from a range of designers, Patel reports, from Prada to Brunello Cucinelli. NATURAL WONDERS Patel foresees a return to artisanal craftsmanship in the form of ready-to-wear crochet dresses, hand-woven straw bags, and shoes. “We’re seeing this trend of natural wonders coming through many of the accessories [and] collections this season,” she says. POUCH PUNCH Pouches are spring’s hottest handbag, and at the vanguard of the trend is Bottega Veneta, thanks to designer Daniel Lee. “This idea of the clutch and the pouch is really strong, and we’re seeing them in different shapes…
A green wave is cresting at Rosemary Square. When healthconscious eateries True Food Kitchen, Pura Vida, and Planta open their doors this year—on the heels of The Garden Shoppe’s evolution from pop-up to permanent fixture, the addition of the illuminated Wishing Tree sculpture, and a transformation incorporating quite a bit more greenery than the urban oasis’ former iteration—the plant-based takeover will be complete. Each of these developments is indicative of Rosemary Square’s wellness-focused reemergence and embrace of concentrated yet biophilic communities of the future. “In these more dense urban areas across the world, people are looking for a respite away from the busy, hectic life they have,” explains Gopal Rajegowda, senior vice president of Related Companies. “They’re looking for these public spaces to really rejuvenate.” The way that people are…
Seeking a sock both pretty and practical, Boca Raton resident Natalie Lerch Sudit took an entrepreneurial turn and created Shashi Cool Feet Socks, a line of mesh-paneled grip socks able to transition seamlessly from barre to bar. While runners have long had performance-driven socks, Sudit was inspired to make pieces designed for barre, ballet, and Pilates workouts because, as she explains, “There was nothing on the market for it.” She founded Shashi at the dawn of athleisure, as people began taking a closer look at the clothing they exercised in. With a patented design underfoot, Sudit has helped to spur the evolution of the athletic wear market—and she aims to be in every woman’s sock drawer by 2025. “Performance and technology are really being united with fashion,” she says. “People…
