An expertly curated, luxuriously produced compendium of all things Palm Beach, Palm Beach Illustrated brings to life personalities and takes you inside the exclusive homes, parties and interests of the world’s most affluent and influential people.
We all know to savor the moment, but in the frenetic pace of our society, it isn’t always possible. I’ll admit to rushing from one gala to the next, or double-booking cocktail parties, just to fit it all in—and I’ll bet I’m not the only one. In that flurry of activity, it’s easy to forget to notice the nuances of the social circuit: the beautifully crafted centerpieces, the epic taste of that chocolate dessert, the ovation-worthy speech of an award recipient, and even who wore what. This is why every June we present a comprehensive look back at the season. This fun yearbook, compiled after reviewing thousands of photos, has become one of our most popular issues, and it’s no secret why. Who doesn’t enjoy reliving those moments— the laughter,…

TINY DOORS WEST PALM BEACH Northwood Village is dotted with doors no larger than a cellphone thanks to artist Nickie Hennevelt. Inspired by similar projects in cities like Atlanta, Hennevelt installed her first tiny door in 2015 as a way to engage area creators, businesses, residents, and visitors. Today, more than 20 individually designed doors are scattered throughout Northwood and downtown West Palm. On June 30, join Hennevelt for a tiny door hunt at Northwood’s monthly Art Night Out. Erin Manning, executive director of the Flagler Museum in Palm Beach, begins many mornings taking in Whitehall through the lens of a visitor. She delights in the views from the south portico: the ancient coconut groves, the undulating water that separates the island from downtown West Palm Beach, and the pavilion reminiscent of Gilded Age railway palaces. She feels connected with Henry Flagler as she moves into the library where he spent much of his time, and continues her own education upstairs alongside museum-goers in the Flagler-Kenan History Room. “Seeing this place wake up every day is such an exciting thing,” says Manning. “[The Flaglers] would invite people to be in the music room [or] the drawing room, and to have incredible meals and experiences, and we’re still able to…
