It is hard to believe this month marks two years since the passing of our beloved publisher and friend, Ron Woods. Though his absence has left an enormous void, his vision is still very much a part of our culture. Since acquiring this company in 1991, Ron had big plans for Palm Beach Illustrated. Under his guidance, all of our magazines became leaders in their respective markets—thanks to an unyielding commitment to lofty production values, captivating and superbly illustrated content, and successful advertising partnerships—and remain firmly on that track today. Another of Ron’s goals was to continue to grow and to invest in the future—both through our products and our people. Just as he did, we cherish the team of creative individuals who make this company what it is, and…

Fifty years ago, Dodie Thayer began experimenting with a pottery mold she created using lettuce and cabbage leaves. The novice South Florida artisan deemed her ceramic dining essentials lettuce ware and sold the handmade works at a Palm Beach boutique. Soon enough, Thayer’s nature-green creations became entertaining must-haves for every table in town and beyond: Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, the Duchess of Windsor and C.Z. Guest all collected lettuce ware. While Thayer never mass-marketed her pottery, making each existing piece a valuable and unique find, she has now partnered with Tory Burch to release the Dodie Thayer for Tory Burch collection. The line includes ceramic plates, bowls, cups, saucers and more and harkens back to her iconic 1960s Palm Beach table setting. “Our collection celebrates Dodie Thayer’s unique vision and artistry—each…
