The mountains and the snow belonged to him, he felt. There were times when for three days in a row, he did not leave his hut at Highlands Park Hotel, where he stayed for around 80 days. That solitary tourist, Sajad Gani Lone, leader of the Peopleâs Conference, was at work, keeping a promise made to then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh that he would prepare a document on Kashmir.
