While much of this equipment is prohibited for civilian use, the armed citizen should at least have a basic understanding of what this task entails, as his or her chances of fighting in and around a house or building are very high. Indeed, it is probably where an attack will take place. Knowing how to move around corners while presenting as small a target as possible for the unseen dangerous criminal hiding inside is critical. We had 71 entries for the day. I must mention that LPPSA has a large contingent of ROs and trainee Ros. Each detail has at least three ROs on duty on the day. RO training and participation is very active. The six handgun stages afforded the opportunity for fluent position transfer from one aperture to the next. There were a few cleverly-placed targets and plates that one could easily overlook if proper planning was not done during the walk-through. The handgun match included a few swingers varying in distance from 7 m to 20 m. These moving targets really tested the skill of the shooters. After all, you can only hit what you can see, right? So, the use of high-quality optics gives me a shot at better identifying targets and observing environmental factors more effectively.
