In fact, Ducati’s history goes back to 1925 when Bruno Ducati published a book, La sciarpa azzurra. Racconti marinareschi (The blue scarf. Seafaring tales). The following year Bruno along with his brothers, Marcello Cavalieri and Adriano established a company called Società Scientifica Radio Brevetti Ducati (SSR Ducati), specialising in electronics, specifically related to radio. Over the next two decades until WWII, the company expanded producing radios, cameras, electric shavers, calculators, inter office communication systems, film projectors and even badges for Triumph motorcars.
