This is my last Ed’s letter for OK! as the mag’s actual Editor, Shari, comes back from maternity leave this week. I’m sad to be leaving the great team and the wonderful magazine, and I’m devastated to be going without the celeb-filled delights of a day in the office! Better go out with a bang then, right? The sports world was in mourning this week as former professional basketballer Kobe Bryant was tragically killed in a helicopter crash along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna (‘Gigi’). The pair were on their way to the LA Lakers star’s Mamba Academy for Gigi’s basketball game on January 26 when the chopper came down not far from Kourtney Kardashian’s Calabasas home, after flying in thick fog. Six others as well as the pilot also perished. Kobe, 41, leaves behind wife Vanessa, 37, and daughters Natalia, 17, Bianka, three, and Capri, seven months.
