NO-PASTRY PEAR & HAZELNUT TARTS SERVES 6 INGREDIENTS • 6 small corella pears • 1/4 cup verjuice • 1/4 cup honey • 250g unsalted butter, chopped • 1/3 cup self-raising flour • 1 cup icing sugar, plus extra for dusting • 1 cup hazelnut meal • 3 tsp finely grated orange rind • 5 egg whites, beaten lightly METHOD 1 Preheat oven to 200°C. 2 Peel pears, trim the base slightly to level and cut in half lengthways.
