With the My Kitchen Rules finale drawing closer, contenders Zana Pali, 24, and Gianni Romano, 28, are sticking by their word to give half of their $250,000 winnings to the runners-up should they be crowned the 2016 champions – but not for reasons some may think.
While she’s admitted, ‘$250,000 isn’t a lot of money for us because our jobs pay a lot,’ Zana says, ‘I think it’s crap that the runners-up don’t get anything. I think they deserve to win something as well, so if you get to the grand finals with us, it’s our way of saying we value anyone who works hard.’
