Played a few FPSs back in the 2000s? If so, you’ll quickly feel at home in Trepang2. True, it’s not a home built for comfort, with its sharp geometry, shiny grey surfaces, hard lighting, and air vents so wide even a claustrophobe could squat-walk through without much stress. But nevertheless there’s something soothing about the retro décor, and the memories of pure, stylish violence it evokes.
Trepang2 follows in the footsteps of one FPS in particular, 2005’s Prey, which combined tactical shooting with dollops of supernatural weirdness and psychological horror.
