When you’re turning half a century, but it lands right in the middle of winter sports season for four active kids, a low-key, whirlwind escape to celebrate (sans said children) becomes an appealing option.
For Jesse – who turned 50 in August – that meant 24 hours with his wife Victoria, 45, flying to Arrowtown for a scenic hike, followed by a special dinner out, before heading back to Auckland.
