An unpublicised weight battle was behind Lisa Marie Presley’s sudden death in January. It’s been revealed the singer-songwriter – the only child of King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley – underwent bariatric surgery a few years ago and, as a result, she developed a bowel obstruction. According to the star’s autopsy report, the obstruction was in the form of a strangulated small bowel. Deputy Medical Examiner Dr Juan Carrillo, said it was “a known long-term complication of this type of surgery”.
