What a difference a decade makes. It’s certainly brought big changes for the royal family.
When 2010 rolled around, the Queen and her husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, were carrying out hundreds of engagements a year, despite both being in their eighties. Fast-forward 10 years and the duke is 98 and has retired from official duties, and Her Majesty, at 93, has finally started slowing down, leaving overseas tours to younger family members. She celebrated her Diamond Jubilee in 2012, and in September 2015 became Britain’s longest-reigning monarch ever.
