This novel has entirely won my heart… and broken it too. Officially it is children’s fiction, but I think this is one of those books that adults will enjoy just as much, if not even more.
Funny and joyful, it’s also very sad – at one point I had to put it down because I was crying so much the pages were blurred. And while I don’t want to build up expectations too high, just quietly, it’s a bit of a masterpiece.
