WHAT A GIFT!
My nine-year-old granddaughter lives nearby and visits frequently. Since she was a baby, we have spent many happy hours talking, enjoying books and playing games together. Discussing what grandparents and grandchildren gain from each other, she commented, “Basically, I keep you young!”

I knew housing had become a problem, but perhaps a recent advertisement in a North Island newspaper shows how desperate it really is:
“WANTED TO RENT. 1 PAIR HOCKEY BOOTS, SIZE 6.”
