1 Prince Edward was born on 10 March 1964 at Buckingham Palace. His mother, Queen Elizabeth II, was 37; his father, Prince Philip, was 44. Notably, Edward’s birth – the last of four children – was the only one attended by his father.
2 When he was born, Edward was third in line to the throne. However, he is now 14th, behind Ernest Brooksbank, Princess Eugenie’s second son.
