Mobulid rays are large, gentle fish that live in the ocean. But they are not like most fish. They like to play! They jump into the air and can do flips under the water.
These fish never stop moving – not even to sleep!
Smaller fish called remoras cling to manta rays to munch food scraps the rays do not eat.
From fin tip to fin tip, a devil ray can be about as wide as three of your friends holding out their arms.
These rays have wide, flat bodies with long, skinny tails. They flap their fins like birds to swim.
Flap your arms slowly, like a manta ray gliding through the ocean!
Sometimes big groups of 50 manta rays swim and eat together.
