Utmost importance should be given to the export of durians to China regardless of what the future holds. Just like bird’s nest export to China, it would definitely be a hit. This is because I can foresee a trend. For an instance, I own a few hundred acres of oil palm plantation in Ulu Yam in which I could also cultivate durians and eventually turn it into a tourist spot. As one of the leaders of Top Fruits, I am delighted to see the younger generation participating in the durian industry. After all, the future is in their hands.
