I am thrilled that Ryan Murphy has brought his television show franchise 9-1-1 to Nashville. You know, people talk about the fact that we saw a boom as a city with the Nashville show that ran from 2012-2018. There is no doubt that the show drew travelers and bachelorettes alike, driving tourism. I think it is pretty great. I have to tell you, I love the 9-1-1 show myself; I am a big fan. The original one set in Los Angeles stars one of my favorite actresses, Angela Bassett! I got addicted to it while recovering from a tonsillectomy. Now, I don’t miss an episode. BrightSteps, a new nonprofit, fills the employment gap for those with disabilities. Jenna Stroope’s experiences working with disabled students led her to identify a great need within the population and an opportunity to help by establishing a school-to-work transition services program to create a roadmap to meaningful and fulfilling lives through employment for individuals with disabilities.
