At its height, Café Roze’s online bodega was selling toilet paper, milk, bread, and mangoes. Since people are now more comfortable going to grocery stores, the need for some things has slowed, says owner Julia Jaksic. But the whole experience has given them a chance to do R&D, especially as they think ahead to the soon-to-open Roze Pony in Belle Meade. “We got a call asking if we would sell our Roze syrup [which goes into lattes at the restaurant], and we thought, well yeah, we can sell that,” she says. “It’s been a fun challenge.” Here, a few more spots where you can pick up pantry staples, along with a to-go order.
