The Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s annual gala benefits their educational outreach programs.
“Through TPAC Education’s five programs, students are given access to world-class performances, along with teaching and learning resources that inspire creative connections to classroom curricula,” Charles Stewart, TPAC’s vice president for institutional advancement, says. “Adult audiences, too, can enjoy special events, including discussions with artists and experts to enhance the performance experience.”
TPAC’s Education programs include ArtSmart, Disney Musicals in Schools, Humanities Outreach in Tennessee, TPAC Inside Out, and Wolf Trap Early Learning Through the Arts. These programs provide access to the arts through features like subsidized tickets, teacher curriculums, and seminars. The TPAC Gala usually raises about $300,000 for education and outreach.
