The month of May signals horse-racing season in Nashville, whether it’s an annual trip to The Iroquois Steeplechase, a pilgrimage to the Kentucky Derby, or attending a Derby party closer to home. For the fourth year running, Bridges for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is throwing its own celebration around Louisville’s Run for the Roses with Music City Derby Day on Saturday, May 6, at The Cordelle.
Bridges is a nonprofit organization serving Middle Tennessee and parts of southern Kentucky, offering the 200,000-plus individuals and families in these areas living with hearing loss access to education, outreach, case management, interpreting services, and more.
