At this point, I want to enter the studio, because this is where photographers have the most control over light. In fact, a purpose-built studio, totally isolated from outside ambient light, gives you absolute control. You have to design the lighting, bring in the equipment to create it, and manage every aspect of it. Clearly this isn’t for everyone, but as it forms a part of my work, and one that right now is taking up a lot of my time. I’d like to show you how lighting design can definitely and intentionally be clean.
