Nestled in a stunning 1,000-hectare park, the Haras National du Pin is a unique site, a symbol of French excellence in equestrian breeding dating back to the early 18th century. It was King Louis XIV who initiated the institution of haras (stud farms) in France, for the purpose of improving the quality of the horses used in battle — and Le Pin, built in 1715, was among the first he founded.
