Performing stunts in Hollywood film productions is risky and, unfortunately, sometimes fatal. In August 2017, Sequana Joi Harris crashed a motorcycle while rehearsing a stunt for the film Deadpool 2 and was fatally injured. Controversy surrounds the incident, mostly because Harris, a road racer, was inexperienced at performing stunts.
Following an investigation into the incident, WorkSafeBC released a report in early October that places blame on TCF Vancouver Productions Ltd., a subsidiary of Twentieth Century Fox, The report claims that TCF violated two sections of the Occupational Health and Safety regulations as well as three sections of the Workers Compensation Act.
