NEWS Early Bird Pricing for the 2021 Yamaha Ténéré 700 Yamaha confirmed that the Ténéré 700, which has been available in markets other than Canada, will be available here in 2020 as a 2021 model. Yamaha has released pricing: place a $500 deposit on a 2021 Ténéré 700 before the end of this year and your bike will cost $11,999. As of press time, Yamaha Canada had not yet determined the MSRP after the early deposit program. Placing a deposit before Dec. 31 also gets you priority delivery in early summer of 2020 and a free Shad Zulupack waterproof bag. Performing stunts in Hollywood film productions is risky and, unfortunately, sometimes fatal. In August 2017, Sequana Joi Harris crashed a motorcycle while rehearsing a stunt for the film Deadpool 2 and was fatally injured. Controversy surrounds the incident, mostly because Harris, a road racer, was inexperienced at performing stunts. Following an investigation into the incident, WorkSafeBC released a report in early October that places blame on TCF Vancouver Productions Ltd., a subsidiary of Twentieth Century Fox, The report claims that TCF violated two sections of the Occupational Health and Safety regulations as well as three sections of the Workers Compensation Act. Prior to that I rode an assortment of British junkers and farm bikes, but the Honda set new standards for motorcycling – and for me personally. I now own a Japanese-market Polynesian Blue 1971 CB750 with the ubiquitous 80 km/h warning light between the other instruments. From Sandy Henry Chuckwagon Café My food pick while riding is the Chuckwagon Café in Turner Valley, Alta. Love this place because they raise their own cattle and use the beef in the café. Burgers and the flat iron steak and eggs Benedict are to die for. The beef barley soup takes three days to make – and it’s so good, it’s unreal.
