Some houses remain timeless – appearing as contemporary as the day they were completed. The Tower House, designed by architect Thomas Gluck for his family of four, was first unveiled in 2012. Located 160 kilometres north of New York City, in the Catskill Mountains, the Tower House, with its soaring height, is framed by established trees of equal stature. “I refer to it as a treehouse for grown-ups,” says Thomas, whose father, Peter Gluck, founder of Gluck+, purchased the sevenhectare site more than 50 years ago.
