I WAS FILLED WITH mixed feelings of excitement and fear, when I found out that I’d get to review the Lexus LS 500—easily the most expensive car I’ve driven, to date. The excitement stemmed from being able to test that car’s mettle, the fear from getting even a scratch on its metal.
