Thao Nguyen nurtured childhood dreams of becoming either an artist or a fashion designer and purchased books to teach her how to trace, color, and paint. Originating from Vietnam, Thao immigrated to the United States at the age of nine. In middle school, a newfound fascination for manicures took root.
