Audition a group of color fabrics—new, from your stash, or both, as Bonnie did—to represent the overall color plan for your quilt, adding and removing as needed until you are pleased with the assortment. Be sure to include a range of values from light to dark. Notice that Bonnie used primarily small- to mediumscale prints throughout.
