Texture in quilts can be created in a variety of ways. It can be as simple as the fabrics used; think cozy flannels, fuzzy wools, or soft velvets.The choice of battings and the quilting styles can add another element. Or they can be embellished with embroidery, lace, ribbons, crystals, buttons, or beads.
