According to scientists, this massive sea of sand was created from the sands of the Orange River, swept north with the Benguela current, washed out on the beaches of the Skeleton Coast and blown to the interior with the prevailing southwesterly wind.
Not only was sand deposited on these shores, but so were the diamonds of the Namib. Where there are diamonds, there is money. And where there is money, there is greed. Because of this, there are many lessons to be learnt from the Namib.
