Astwood 4x4 is a family-run business based in South Birmingham and specialises in overhauling Land Rovers whether it’s the chassis, interior or bodywork that needs upgrading. They can also transform standard truck cabs and hardtop vehicles into seven seater station wagons. The calendar was inspired by Cancer Research UK, for whom they are trying to raise money. THOUSANDS OF children will explore the vast Jordanian desert and learn about water conservation thanks to a unique Land Rover Discovery expedition. Administered by the Royal Geographical Society (with the IBG), and supporting the recipients of the 2017 Land Rover Bursary, the so-called Water Diaries expedition will cross one of the driest countries on the planet to investigate how the population manages water. The three-man team, including field scientist Dr Shane McGuinness, documentary film-maker Temujin Doran and geography teacher Fearghal O’Nuallain, were waved off by year 11 pupils from St Peter’s Catholic School, Solihull.
