They stopped producing the Defender as we know it on January 29, 2016 and this just led to a dramatic increase in the prices of secondhand vehicles. What to expect as the original Billing Land Rover Show moves to its new home at Kelmarsh Hall Live Promotions Events Ltd, the biggest organisers of Land Rover shows in the UK, has announced a new home for the Original Billing Land Rover Show, namely Kelmarsh Hall. Located just a few miles away from the Billing Aquadrome with fabulous access off the A14, the new venue offers a fantastic opportunity for growth. GLOBAL SALES GROWTH FOLLOWING a successful month in China, Jaguar Land Rover reported its best ever November retail sales, up 2 per cent compared to the same month in 2016. Despite the fact that calendar year-to-date sales for Land Rover reached 395,556 vehicles, 9 per cent up on the previous year, they have been affected by the run-out of the Land Rover Defender and the current Land Rover Discovery, but the brand are encouraged by their growing order bank for the New Discovery. The hugely popular Classic Land Rover Show is returning to the British Motor Museum once again for 2017. Make a note in your diary now for the weekend of 6-7 May, as plans are afoot to bring the very finest vehicles, owners and historians together as the show takes a look back at the history of Land Rover.
