The Canto pop world has seven new queens: Garie “Gao” Shum, Sumling Li, Winka Chan, Ivy So, Rejena “Day” Simkhada, Candy Wong, and Marife “Marf” Yau. Together, they are COLLAR, the sister group of the Hong Kong SAR boy group MIRROR, both originating on the ViuTV reality show King Maker. The group released their debut song “Call My Name!” in January 2022, with over 70,000 people tuning in to their live online broadcast.
According to Shum, the name COLLAR has two meanings: a shirt collar, which, like their performances, can take your breath away, but also the clavicle, considered by many to be the most attractive part of a woman’s body.
